Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional Associate for a remote role spanning AZ/CA/CO/HI/NM/NV/UT. You will perform substantial structural analysis and design, collaborate with the Structural Lead and designers, and help translate requirements into technical drawings and models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE/PEng).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform all conventional aspects of structural engineering analysis and design.
• Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in evaluation and adaptation of engineering techniques.
• Exercise sound engineering judgement and problem solving; reach out for guidance when needed.
• Possess knowledge of lateral analysis and design (wind and seismic) and applicable codes.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and quality control; check own work and seek reviews.
• Manage workload, meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Take ownership of assigned structural scope and forecast effort.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to designers/drafters and junior engineers.
• Advance workflows, systems, and tools within the structural discipline.
