Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with structural analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform conventional structural analysis and design.
• Plan work requiring judgment in evaluation and adaptation of engineering techniques.
• Exercise engineering judgment and problem-solving; seek guidance as needed.
• Apply principles of lateral analysis and design (wind and seismic) per building codes.
• Check own work; coordinate with peers and seniors as needed.
• Manage workload and meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers/drafters and junior engineers.
