Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structures.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Technologist Engineer (Pr Tech Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as Prokon, ETABS, and STAAD.Pro.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various types of infrastructure projects using state-of-the-art software.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with South African National Standards (SANS) and relevant building codes.
• Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and project managers to achieve project goals.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
• Review contractor submittions and respond to site queries.
• Undertake technical investigations and prepare reports.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and cost estimations for structural works.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in structural engineering practices and materials.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
