Placements24 is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join our team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will conceptualize, design, and develop civil infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, water, and sanitation systems.

You will produce detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications while collaborating with project managers. The role requires a minimum of 4 years of civil design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and knowledge of South African standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA is advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 years of civil engineering design experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) and Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of South African civil engineering standards and practices.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and report-writing abilities.

Responsabilités

• Design and prepare engineering drawings for civil infrastructure projects (roads, drainage, water, and sanitation).
• Perform necessary engineering calculations and modeling using relevant software.
• Ensure designs comply with national standards, regulations, and client specifications.
• Prepare technical specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and tender documentation.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure integrated project design.
• Assist in site investigations and feasibility studies as required.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing design queries.
• Review contractor submissions and ensure compliance with design intent.
• Contribute to the development of sustainable and cost-effective design solutions.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
