Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee significant civil infrastructure projects in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will manage all phases from planning and design coordination to execution and close-out, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental standards while meeting budget and timeline constraints.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in civil infrastructure projects and proven leadership and communication skills, with a preference for a Pr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of project management experience in civil infrastructure.
• Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of civil engineering methods, construction practices, and materials.
• Experience with MS Project and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Pr. Eng or PMP certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, water, and sanitation systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee on-site operations, including resource allocation, subcontractor management, and progress monitoring.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with design teams, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Manage project finances, track expenditures, and approve invoices.
• Conduct regular site inspections and project review meetings.
• Prepare and present detailed project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
