Qualifications

Our client, a leading infrastructure engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their dedicated team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This pivotal role focuses on the design, analysis, and supervision of construction for bridges, highways, and other transportation-related structures. You will be integral in ensuring the safety, durability, and efficiency of critical public infrastructure. This is an office-based role with regular site visits required to monitor construction progress and provide on-site engineering support. We are looking for a highly competent professional with a deep understanding of structural principles, materials, and construction methods applicable to large-scale transportation projects. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.


• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.


• A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in the structural design and analysis of bridges and highway structures.


• Proven experience with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, CSiBridge, STAAD.Pro) and CAD software.


• In-depth knowledge of bridge design codes (e.g., AASHTO, EN, SANRAL specifications) and concrete, steel, and composite materials.


• Strong understanding of construction methods and site supervision for infrastructure projects.


• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.


• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.


• Willingness to travel to project sites as required within the Eastern Cape region.
