Job summary

Triangle DeCon Services Inc. in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Senior Structural Engineer – QA/QC Technical Reviewer to support LAUSD's Facilities Services Division.

You will review structural plans, specifications, and construction documents for K-12 facilities to ensure compliance with District standards, building codes, and constructability requirements. Candidates must have 10 years of professional structural engineering experience involving educational facilities and a valid CA PE

Qualifications

• Ten years of full-time professional experience in structural engineering planning, design and construction of educational facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Valid CA Professional Engineer license; CA SE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical review of proposed structural plans and specifications submitted by District personnel, consultant staff, or commissioned architects and engineers for construction projects.
• Provides review comments regarding adherence to District standards, quality of development and documentation of structural design, coordination with other disciplines, and other technical issues as required.
• Provides comments and lessons learned to support the development and maintenance of the District's Design Guidelines including the School Design Guide, Educational Specifications, Guide Technical Specifications, and Standard Technical Drawings for the Facilities Services Division.
• Coordinates activities with those of other units of Design and A/E Technical Support and other District organizations.
• Performs other duties as assigned
