Cushing Terrell is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to manage all structural aspects of projects and mentor junior engineers and BIM staff. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and client professionals to deliver integrated, high-quality design solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year university.
10+ years of job-related experience in structural engineering (20+ years preferred for senior-level candidates).
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure by comity in the state of the hiring office.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
Advanced understanding of basic structural systems, design processes, and general architecture/engineering practices.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong time management skills to balance project demands and deliverables.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all structural engineering aspects of projects, ensuring codes, standards, and client requirements.
Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and business professionals to develop integrated, high-quality design solutions.
Work independently and guide team members to produce construction documents, including plans and specifications.
Perform structural engineering analysis and develop design calculations to support project objectives.
Prepare engineering studies and detailed reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
Develop construction cost estimates and validate them against industry benchmarks.
Manage project-specific requirements, including scope, budget, and timelines.
Develop structural engineering fee proposals and contracts.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to support project success and firm growth.
Mentor and direct junior engineers and BIM staff, fostering their professional development.
