Job summary
Cushing Terrell is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer - Retail Team Leader to guide a growing nationwide team focused on retail tenant improvements and existing-building modifications. You will mentor engineers, lead technical design, and shape internal standards to ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications
- Active PE license required.
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Experience with retail tenant improvements and existing-building modifications.
- Experience delivering projects nationwide.
- Strong communication skills and collaboration across teams.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Excel, Word, and RISA.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and engineering for nationwide retail TI and existing-building projects.
- Mentor and train early-career engineers and EITs.
- Develop and maintain internal engineering standards and repeatable processes for the Retail vertical.
- Coordinate with Client Managers and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage staffing, resource planning, and recruiting for the Retail structural team.
- Lead performance coaching and career development for direct reports.
- Balance a high volume of smaller, quick-turnaround projects while maintaining quality.
