Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design efforts on diverse projects in the Missoula area. You will oversee scope, budget, and timelines while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with architects, designers, and other engineers to deliver integrated design solutions.

Qualified candidates have a PE license (or eligibility by comity), 8+ years of experience, and strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited four-year university.
• 8+ years of job-related experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of the hiring office or eligible by comity.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong collaboration and communication, with time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee structural engineering across projects.
• Manage scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develop construction documents (plans and specifications).
• Perform structural analysis and calculations.
• Prepare engineering studies and reports.
• Prepare construction cost estimates and benchmarks.
• Manage project requirements (scope, budget, time).
• Develop and maintain client relationships; mentor junior engineers and BIM staff.
