Job summary

Aecon U.S. is seeking a Supervising Structural Engineer to lead structural design for power generation projects in Mt. Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC. The role oversees the structural discipline and guides engineers across multiple projects nationwide.

You will develop calculations and designs, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and ensure adherence to codes and schedules. PE license and 10+ years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil (Structural) Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design of steel and concrete foundations and structures for conventional or nuclear power plants.
• Minimum 5 years in an engineering leadership position.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in any US state; comity licenses a plus.
• Experience withSTAAD Pro, ANSYS, Mathcad, etc.

Responsibilities

• Function as the structural discipline lead on power and heavy industrial projects.
• Manage the structural engineering and design team within scope, cost, and schedule.
• Sign and seal structural drawings as the engineer of record for assigned projects.
• Develop structural calculations, foundation, and steel designs from concept through construction.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary team of engineers and designers to complete tasks on schedule and budget.
• Review codes, design documents, specifications, and construction documents for project development.
• Develop material and workhour estimates and engineering/design schedules.
