Job summary

Forte & Tablada in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a structural engineer with a PE license and 4+ years of experience to design and analyze building, light-industrial, and public-works structures. Responsibilities include QA/QC, shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and site visits.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in Civil or Structural (Louisiana license or ability to obtain).
• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years of structural design experience; 6+ years encouraged for leadership track.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (RAM, RISA, STAAD) and BIM tools (Revit, AutoCAD).
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis for buildings, light-industrial, and public-works projects.
• Prepare and review calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with civil disciplines to deliver code-compliant designs.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews for quality and compliance; support shop drawings and RFIs.
• Lead design production on active projects; mentor junior engineers and assist with client coordination.
