Job summary

Basin Engineering & Surveying in Metairie, LA is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) for full-time work on industrial, commercial, and public projects. You will design steel and concrete structures, perform analyses, prepare drawings, and seal the engineer of record on your projects.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, a Louisiana-eligible PE license, at least five years’ experience, and proficiency with ACI, AISC, ASCE 7 and IBC, plus software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
• PE license or Louisiana comity eligibility.
• 5+ years designing steel and concrete structures.
• Working knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, and IBC; experience with structural analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for industrial, commercial, and public projects.
• Produce calculations, drawings and specifications; coordinate with team.
• Act as engineer of record sealing own work; provide site support as needed.
