Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Engineer Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE) registration with LAPELS.
• Passed the Professional Engineer examination.
• Experience with bridge design.
• Experience with bridge load rating and inspection is preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Load ratings of new and existing bridges.
• Bridge design and coordination with project team for replacement/rehabilitation.
• Inspection, documentation of deficiencies, and recommended repairs.
• Construction observation.
• Prepare project scoping, proposals, and contracts when applicable.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and team performance.
