Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Registered Engineer – Structural – Nuclear to lead advanced structural design for hydropower and nuclear-related projects in Atlanta, GA. The role requires strong leadership, site inspections, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver safe, compliant structures.

The candidate will supervise teams across domestic and overseas offices, manage budgets, and contribute to codes, standards, and continuous improvement while traveling up to 20% for project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; active licensure preferred.
• Minimum of 11 years related experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with hydropower projects and dam safety programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex structural design for hydropower facilities up to $200M.
• Perform site inspections and remediation recommendations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and oversee production staff.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes and BV policies.
