Job summary

Black & Veatch’s Structural Team is seeking an experienced, senior-level Structural Engineer for employment. The candidate will design structures supporting water treatment facilities, lead with design experience, and collaborate with other disciplines on large infrastructure projects.

The role emphasizes complex analysis, drawings production, and guidance on codes and standards, with opportunities across markets such as industrial, data centers, and power delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Holds active engineering registration/licensure for engineer of record (EOR) requirements.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, ACI 530.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex structural analysis and prepare drawings for water/wastewater plants, industrial facilities, and other complex structures.
• Supervises Structural Engineers and Technicians; leads larger production teams.
• Perform construction phase engineering duties including site visits and review of submittals.
• Coordinate with architects and other discipline engineers.
• Guide department design standards and best practices; support quality control.
