Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Hamilton Township, NJ is seeking a senior structural engineer to join the Nuclear Power Group. You will lead a team of structural engineers, interface with other disciplines, and guide junior staff on design and analysis for nuclear facilities and plant upgrades.

Responsibilities include applying steel and concrete design knowledge, performing design calculations, reviewing drawings, and using industry tools to analyze frames, connections, and foundations, with occasional site

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering program with structural emphasis.
• Minimum of five years in design and analysis of structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software listed.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with structural engineers and other disciplines to guide project work.
• Work on nuclear facility projects including design calculations and drawings support.
• Analyze steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations.
• Perform loading analyses including wind and seismic conditions.
• Possibility to travel to client/vendor offices for reviews and site coordination.
