Sargent & Lundy, based in Hamilton Township, NJ, seeks a senior structural engineer to lead design and analysis for nuclear facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and guiding junior engineers. The role emphasizes materials, steel/concrete design, and the use of advanced analysis tools.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office in Hamilton, NJ and 2 days remote) with opportunities for site visits and client coordination.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering with ABET accreditation.
• Seven or more years of experience in structural design and analysis on projects.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL or ANSYS).
• Familiarity with ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI codes; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design calculations and technical assessments for nuclear facilities.
• Guide junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for reviews and site verification when required.
