Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a fully remote role aligned with the Oak Ridge, Tennessee office. You will design and analyze containment, reactor buildings and support systems using reinforced concrete, steel and advanced materials, interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams.

The candidate will have 7+ years in structural engineering, strong knowledge of ASME/ACI/ASCE/AISC, and experience with seismic and dynamic analyses. US citizenship or work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in structural engineering, preferably with nuclear design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and oversee construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects.
• Lead design and analysis of safety and non-safety related structures for nuclear and commercial projects.
• Coordinate with mechanical, nuclear, operations and electrical teams to integrate structural designs.
