Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer for a fully remote role aligned to Oak Ridge, TN. You will design, analyze, and implement piping systems for nuclear and commercial projects, producing detailed drawings and models, and performing stress analyses to ensure safety and compliance.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, review technical docs, and mentor junior staff, with onsite/field experience valued and PE certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience; nuclear industry preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, codes, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, layout, install, and maintain piping systems and supports.
• Create P&IDs, 3D models, and drawings for piping routes and plant setup.
• Perform stress analysis using PipeStress, AutoPipe, ANSYS, etc.
• Review technical documents, specifications, and vendor data.
• Mentor junior colleagues and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
