Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Mechanical Analyst Energy for a remote role based out of Oak Ridge, TN. The candidate will perform CFD analyses, develop structural and fluid dynamics models, and ensure compliance with nuclear QA standards across SMR and fuel cycle projects.

Required are a Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years in nuclear facility support, and strong communication skills. U.S. citizenship is mandatory for consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of ten years post-baccalaureate experience.
• Engineering support to nuclear facility design, construction or operations.
• Knowledge of NRC regulations and design codes.
• U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFD simulations to verify safety and performance for SMR and fuel cycle projects.
• Develop, design and validate structural and fluid dynamics models.
• Prepare, check and approve CFD and mechanical analyses.
• Ensure deliverables meet nuclear QA standards and regulations.
• Upskill and mentor engineers on CFD modelling.
