UT-Battelle in Oak Ridge, TN seeks a Structural Engineer to provide analytical support for complex facilities, including design reviews with the ITER IO and collaboration with managers, engineers, and vendors. The role includes preparing DAC packages and ensuring code-compliant designs.

The position emphasizes experience with structural analysis software, fabrication knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment while supporting procurement and Title III

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in design, fabrication, and assembly of structures.
• Experience with STAAD or other structural analysis software.
• Familiarity with ANSI/AISC and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze supports and equipment hardware for large facilities.
• Perform structural analyses using STAAD/ANSYS per codes.
• Check concrete anchorage per project guidelines.
• Document analysis results in DAC packages.
• Review and check work by other team members.
• Present designs and analyses in design reviews to IO.
