Job summary

ICI Services seeks a talented Structural Engineer to join the PMS 300 program office in Washington, DC, supporting Navy and government stakeholders. You will perform design, integration, and production-level engineering for ship design products, applying NAVSEA and ABS practices.

You will develop structural calculations, perform FEA analyses, review technical documents, and coordinate with shipyards, program offices, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of DoD/Navy experience.
• Systems engineering principles and requirements management.
• Technical documentation development and coordination with stakeholders.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development, design, integration and production-level engineering of ship design products per Government System Specification and ABS requirements.
• Develop structural calculations and drawings with details, loads and methodology per contractual requirements.
• Perform structural analysis (including FEA) for detailed ship design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize hull weights within the overall ship design.
• Analyze operational requirements and develop technical solutions for mission needs.
• Prepare engineering documentation, technical reports and system specifications.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, program offices, shipyards and technical teams.
• Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings and system assessments.
• Contribute to improving shipbuilding processes ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
