HII's Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a senior structural engineer to analyze, research and develop structural specifications for multiple materials. You will review drawings, supervise construction, and coordinate with consultants to ensure projects stay on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate holds an ABET-accredited engineering degree with extensive experience, and may be eligible for relocation assistance. This full-time role requires first-shift availability and no telework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 9 years of relevant exempt experience (or higher degrees with compensating experience).
• Master’s Degree with 7 years experience or Ph.D. with 4 years experience.
• US Citizenship required for this position.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and develop structural engineering specifications for metal, non-metallic, or composite materials.
• Review designs and supervise construction projects for compliance and budget.
• Coordinate with consultants and agencies to ensure on-time completion.
• Support new construction project management within facilities.
