HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division is seeking a skilled engineer to analyze and develop structural engineering specifications across mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems for naval ships. You will evaluate damage tolerance, durability, and design allowables while using FE software to model structures.

Responsibilities include leading junior engineers, coordinating with NAVSEA and other stakeholders, and applying FORTRAN, MATLAB, Python when needed to support program objectives.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 0 years experience.
• Experience with structural analysis and FEA software is essential.

• Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications for products and operations.
