Job summary

Precise Systems seeks an experienced Naval Structures Engineer Level II to support inspection efforts for NSWCCD. This role requires in-person presence and active contribution to structural design, modification, and analysis of naval platforms.

Responsibilities include delivering results with documentation, assessing hull and structural components against strength criteria, and evaluating a range of ship configurations including unmanned vessels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Two years of relevant experience evaluating structures.
• Ability to conduct structural analyses including closed-form calculations, drawing reviews, and failure assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural design, modification, and analysis of naval and commercial ship platforms.
• Provide results and summary documentation of technical work.
• Design and assess primary and secondary ship structural members against loads and hull strength requirements.
• Analyze advanced ship structural components for monohull, multi-hull, arctic vessels, and unmanned surface vehicles.
