Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the marine industry.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing finite element analysis.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design equipment foundations and ship structures for new and existing ships.
• Perform structural calculations using first-principles formulas and finite element analysis.
• Assist with development of structural drawings and reports.
• Apply regulatory rules, industry standards, and customer requirements to develop conforming designs and analysis criteria.
• Perform Shipyard and/or design Contract Deliverable reviews for SOWs and compliance.
• Interface with customers, vendors, shipyards, and internal teams.
• Train less experienced engineers.
