Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Structural Engineer or Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Iuka, MS. The role applies classical static strength analysis, DaDT, and FEM for metal and composite parts, and supports aircraft repairs and MRB activities.

Basic STEM degree with MRB/ASIP experience; ability to obtain US Secret clearance; travel up to 10%. This position may be filled at Engineer or Principal Engineer level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) required.
• Experience with MRB related activities is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret clearance is required or pending.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in classical static strength hand analysis, Durability and Damage Tolerance (DaDT) analysis, and finite element modeling for metal and composite parts.
• Develop and document detailed structural analyses in support of aircraft repairs, including free body diagrams, loads, shear and moment diagrams, and stresses.
• Support MRB and Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) activities.
• Collaborate in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and solve complex problems.
• Knowledge of MES and a Northrop Grumman MRB EN/ST signature is a plus.
