Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Iuka, MS seeks a Sr. Principal Structural Engineer to perform advanced structural analyses for aircraft repairs, including DaDT and FEA. The role requires collaboration with MRB and ASIP programs and mentoring junior engineers. A STEM degree and DoD clearance are preferred.

Candidates should have extensive experience with primary/secondary structures, FEMAP/NX Nastran, and a strong background in aerospace structural analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace structural analysis for primary/secondary structures.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform static strength and DaDT analyses for discrepant parts and assemblies.
• Document detailed structural analyses for aircraft repairs (FBDs, loading, shear/moment diagrams).
• Support MRB and ASIP programs with engineering dispositions.
• Collaborate in a team environment and mentor junior staff.
