KPFF is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our Columbus office to lead structural projects from concept to construction, manage scope and budgets, and mentor engineers and BIM professionals.

You will collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver high-quality solutions while ensuring compliance with codes and standards; enjoy opportunities for growth in leadership, mentorship, and business development.

Qualifications

• PE license required; SE license preferred.
• 8+ years progressive structural engineering experience with leadership.
• Proficiency with ETABS, RAM and RISA 3D.
• Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI and AISC design standards.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and execution of structural projects from concept through construction.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and team resources.
• Serve as technical leader and mentor for engineers and BIM professionals.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Oversee calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports; ensure code compliance.
• Contribute to structural assessments and site investigations as needed.
• Foster a mentorship-driven culture focused on technical excellence and growth.
• Support KPFF's vision of strong teams and impactful engineering outcomes.
