Job summary

KPFF is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Lexington office. You will lead projects from concept to construction, manage scope, budgets, and team resources, and act as a technical leader for engineers and BIM professionals.

The role emphasizes mentorship, client collaboration, and growth within a supportive, mentorship-driven culture. With a PE license required and SE preferred, you will build on 8+ years of experience, guiding complex projects while ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

  • PE license required; SE license preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering; Master’s preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience with leadership.
  • Background in project management and client interaction.
  • Proficiency with ETABS, RAM, and RISA 3D; knowledge of IBC/ASCE/ACI/AISC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, design, and execution of structural projects from concept to construction.
  • Manage scope, schedules, budgets, and team resources.
  • Serve as technical leader and mentor for engineers and BIM professionals.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Oversee calculations, drawings, specs, and reports; ensure code compliance.
  • Participate in assessments, feasibility studies, and site investigations as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative, mentorship-driven culture focused on technical excellence.
  • Support KPFF’s vision of strong teams, client relationships, and impactful engineering.
