KPFF Consulting Engineers in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead a diverse portfolio of structural projects from concept to construction. You will establish and maintain client relationships while guiding engineers and BIM professionals across the firm.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, project management, mentorship, and business development, with a focus on delivering high‑quality structural solutions both locally and nationally.

Qualifications

• PE license required; SE license preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering; Masters preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience with leadership and client interaction.
• Strong background in project management with owners, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software ETABS, RAM, and RISA 3D.
• Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI and AISC design standards.
• Collaborative mindset with leadership, mentorship and business growth.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and execution of structural projects from concept through construction.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budgets and team resources.
• Serve as technical leader and mentor for engineers and BIM professionals.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Oversee engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.
• Participate in structural assessments, feasibility studies and site investigations as needed.
• Foster a mentorship-driven culture focused on technical excellence and growth.
• Support KPFF’s vision of building strong teams and client relationships.
