Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Structural Engineer IV in Houston to join our Facilities Engineering group. You will lead complex structural projects, own design tasks, and act as a technical mentor across disciplines.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience, and the ability to deliver safe, practical engineering solutions across industries such as liquids, energy, mining, and manufacturing. The company offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 5+ years’ experience as a structural engineer.
• PE preferred, EIT required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance to more junior engineers while executing tasks.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary project team and work as Engineer of Record as needed.
• Develop construction cost estimates and supervise Designers/Drafters as required.
• Present technical aspects of a project to technical and non-technical audiences.
