Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Plymouth Meeting, PA office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Structures team. This on-site role focuses on leading design efforts, developing full structural drawings, and mentoring Engineers-In-Training.

You will perform structural calculations, coordinate with clients and the design team, and support construction phase activities on building projects. A PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months) is preferred, with proficiency in AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp to produce drawings as needed.
• Knowledge of structural analysis software such as STAAD, RAM, ETABS, MathCAD, TEDDS, or ADAPT PT.
• Strong sense of urgency, detail orientation, and teamwork.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to mentor EITs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management and leading of projects.
• Develop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications without guidance.
• Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering.
• Perform structural design calculations, plan production activities, and prepare project submittal packages.
• Lead construction phase efforts on building projects in structural engineering.
• Support meetings and presentations with clients, contractors, and design team members.
• Contribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with clients.
