Job summary

Kimley-Horn's St. Paul, Minnesota office is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 1.5+ years of experience to join our Building Structures team.

You will contribute to design, detailing, and project delivery on building projects across client types, supported by mentors and a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. As an EIT, you will perform structural analysis and calculations using tools such as Revit and RAM Structural System, participate in meetings, and develop towards

Qualifications

• ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering.
• 1.5+ years of building structural design experience including concrete, steel, masonry, wood.
• EIT certificate.
• Knowledge of Revit; ability to produce drawings/details as needed.
• Experience with structural analysis/design software (RISA, RAM, E-TABS, MathCAD, TEDDS, ENERCALC).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery, design, and detailing of projects with senior staff and BIM staff.
• Perform structural design calculations and prepare submittal packages.
• Lead and support structural construction phase efforts on building projects.
• Collaborate in meetings with clients, contractors, and design team members.
• Mentor entry‑level engineers and conduct site visits when needed.
