Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Plymouth Meeting, PA office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our Marine Structures team. This is not a remote position.

You will lead projects, develop full structural drawings and technical specifications, and mentor Engineers-In-Training in structural engineering. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design teams to deliver high-quality, compliant structures.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp for drawings.
• Experience with structural analysis software (STAAD, RAM, ETABS, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management and leading of projects.
• Develop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications without guidance.
• Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering.
• Perform structural design calculations, plan production activities, and prepare project document submittal packages, while maintaining a Quality Control program for the entire project.
• Lead and provide support for construction phase efforts on building projects in structural engineering.
• Support and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, contractors, and design team members.
• Contribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients.
