Job summary

ECS Group in Roanoke, VA seeks a Structural Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering and consulting projects across building science and infrastructure. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.

This client-facing role includes mentoring junior staff, pursuing business development opportunities, preparing proposals, and delivering clear, actionable engineering reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural engineering and consulting projects from setup through completion.
• Coordinate project teams and direct site activities with field staff, subcontractors, and senior managers.
• Prepare and review proposals, change orders, budgets, and invoices.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise personnel performing field investigations, testing, assessments, and design activities.
• Prepare structural engineering reports, perform analysis, and provide recommendations.
