ECS Group of Companies in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Structural Senior Project Engineer to join our Mid-Atlantic Building Science + Infrastructure team. You will manage structural engineering projects and serve as lead technical consultant on investigations, repairs, and construction administration for diverse facilities.

This client-facing role involves mentoring junior staff, coordinating with architects and contractors, and delivering practical, code-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering, assessment, testing, and consulting services.
• Conduct field investigations and condition evaluations of existing structures.
• Interpret drawings, calculations, and field data; supervise drafting and design as needed.
• Develop testing plans and direct specialized structural testing programs.
• Interpret testing results, identify deficiencies, and recommend repairs.
