ECS Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Senior Project Engineer for our Roanoke office. You will lead project execution, oversee technical analyses, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality from proposal through final invoicing.

The role requires 5+ years in geotechnical work, a PE license, and strong communication and leadership skills. Candidates must drive project success, manage budgets, and foster client relationships in a consulting setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the applicable state or eligible for reciprocity within three months.
• At least 5 years of geotechnical experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management, leadership, and business development abilities.
• Experience with construction materials testing and ASTM standards.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and manage multiple projects.

Mansioni

• Leads and manages geotechnical and CMT projects from proposal through completion.
• Oversees preparation and review of geotechnical reports with technical analysis.
• Ensures all project tasks from proposal to final invoice are completed on time.
• Manages project budgets, change orders, invoicing, and collections.
• Reviews field reports for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
• Prepares and oversees proposals and contracts.
• Serves as primary client and stakeholder contact.
• Hosts and participates in project meetings to present findings.
• Supervises field investigations, drilling, and testing activities.
• Provides technical oversight and verifies calculations and recommendations.
• Mentors and develops junior staff, technicians, and project managers.
• Supports staffing decisions and resource allocation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
