Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Nashville, TN office. You will lead the design and analysis of structural systems across diverse projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive both technical excellence and leadership growth.

You will engage with clients and multidisciplinary teams, review structural documents, and oversee design calculations, shop drawings, and site observations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building design.
• Active PE and/or SE license.
• Experience with steel, concrete, and masonry for low- to mid-rise structures.
• Proficiency with Tekla, ETABS, SAFE and other listed software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design calculations, construction documents, shop drawings and RFIs.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and oversee QA/QC reviews.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure deliverables align with client expectations and quality standards.
• Support technical development and career growth of team members.
