Qualifications

  • Passed the FE or have EIT certification.
  • Intermediate understanding of Structural Systems and Design Process.

Responsibilities

  • Competency with engineering in wood design, timber design, steel design, concrete design.
  • Oversee/Manage all Structural Engineering aspects of projects.
  • Work independently and oversee other team members to develop Construction Documents.
  • Perform structural engineering analysis and develop design calculations.
  • Prepare engineering studies and reports.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates and compare with industry benchmarks.
  • Manage structural specific project requirements.
  • Develop structural related fee proposals and contracts.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.

Position Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our collaborative team and play a key role in delivering thoughtful, integrated design solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, applying expertise in multiple structural systems while contributing to all phases of design and construction. You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure high-quality, efficient, and innovative outcomes for our clients.

Position Salary Range

The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 annually.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from ABET accredited four-year University
  • 4 to 8+ years of job-related experience within United States
  • Have passed the FE or have EIT certification
  • Intermediate knowledge of Auto CADD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Intermediate understanding of Structural Systems and Design Process
  • High level of collaboration and communication
  • Ability to effectively manage time
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working towards or already have a Professional Engineer License (or ability to obtain by comity) in the state of the hiring Cushing Terrell office

  • Prepare construction cost estimates and compare with industry benchmarks
  • Manage structural specific project requirements (Scope, Budget, and Time)
  • Develop structural related fee proposals and contracts
  • Develop and maintain client relationship

Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.

The majority of the time, a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach.
