Thompson Engineering seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead complex projects and provide advanced technical direction. You will define scope, develop design solutions, and guide multidisciplinary teams while advising internal stakeholders and clients.

With 10+ years of structural experience and PE/SE licenses, you will direct project execution, ensure codes compliance, and drive growth through strategic client relations and quality design solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
• PE license required; SE license strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, including leadership of complex projects.
• Proven ability to manage projects, lead teams, and deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
• Advanced knowledge of structural design codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC).
• Strong communication and client-facing skills with ability to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of complex projects, ensuring compliance with codes and best practices.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and provide final technical review of designs and calculations.
• Manage projects from concept through completion, including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary partners and engage with clients to understand goals.
