Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks a senior civil/structural engineer for lead design of complex projects in Houston. The role emphasizes advanced analysis, coordination with drafting, and ensuring designs meet code and client requirements.

You will develop conceptual layouts, perform material takeoffs, and produce construction-ready design calculations while guiding junior staff and coordinating with cross-discipline teams. A PE is preferred and 10+ years of industry experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant civil/structural engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of complex civil/structural engineering assignments.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Produce detail design calculations and sketches for construction materials.
• Review vendor drawings and discipline submittals for conformance to drawings and specs.
• Provide field data gathering and construction support as needed.
