Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Construction is seeking a senior Civil/Structural Engineer in Houston, TX. The role involves leading design teams, performing complete civil/structural designs, and coordinating with drafting and other disciplines to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.

Extensive experience and strong knowledge of applicable codes are required. You will develop conceptual layouts, cost studies, and detailed design calculations while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in civil/structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of complex civil/structural engineering assignments under general supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies.
• Produce design calculations and sketches for construction materials.
• Review vendor drawings and discipline drawings for civil/structural input.
• Lead small to large teams coordinating civil/structural efforts within scope, schedule and budget.
• Provide technical guidance to drafting and engineering personnel.
