Job summary
Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to perform complete design of complex projects under general supervision. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in civil/structural engineering, a PE registration, and a strong working knowledge of IBC, ASCE, and AISC standards.
You will lead project teams, develop cost studies, and provide construction support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; structural coursework preferred.
- Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant industrial civil/structural engineering experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to lead teams and coordinate disciplines.
- Proficient in CAD software and standard engineering tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform complete design of complex civil/structural projects under supervision.
- Lead design task teams and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Develop conceptual layouts and estimates; prepare preliminary designs and material take-offs.
- Review calculations and vendor drawings for conformance to specs.
- Provide field data gathering and construction support; mentor junior staff.
