Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 2 years of relevant exempt experience or Master’s degree with 0 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical rep for O41 Plant Engineering on structural systems, design, and repair specs.
• Provide technical direction to internal/ external customers on structural matters per codes and NNS specs.
• Review contractor submittals for adequacy and alignment with codes and best practices.
• Prepare/review impact studies to support Facilities’ LRSP for structural systems/equipment.
• Perform structural evaluations and facilities assessments; respond to safety issues (50% field work).
• Direct consultants/contractors to maintain safe shipyard facilities.
