Job summary
Salas O'Brien's Process and Manufacturing (P&M) Business Unit in Decatur, AL is seeking a motivated Senior Structural Engineer to lead design projects from concept to construction. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver innovative structural solutions for industrial facilities.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years in consulting engineering, a PE in Alabama or reciprocity, and hands-on experience with Revit, RISA 3D, and AutoCAD, plus strong communication and project leadership
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program; MS preferred.
- 10+ years of consulting engineering experience (industrial preferred).
- Professional Engineer license in Alabama or reciprocity within 90 days of hire.
- Experience in structural analysis and design with Revit and RISA 3D.
Responsibilities
- Lead design projects for process and manufacturing facilities.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and other disciplines.
- Develop conceptual layouts, calculations, and drawings.
- Prepare scopes of work, technical documents, and reports.
- Travel to sites for risk and design reviews; provide field support.
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain client relationships.
