Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced engineer in Birmingham, AL to lead structural projects from concept through construction. You will coordinate with multi-discipline teams, review drawings, and mentor junior engineers on site visits and client-facing activities.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and building codes. Travel and collaboration across the global firm support this senior opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering is required.
• Professional engineer license required; SE preferred.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience leading projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and building codes.
• Proficiency with Revit, BIM software, and MS Office.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Design and analyze steel, concrete, and masonry structures.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, process, civil, and architectural teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Meet with clients and support project planning efforts.
• Mentor and guide engineers and designers.
• Perform occasional site visits to gather information and support construction activities.
