Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Industrial Center of Excellence (ICoE) within the Property & Buildings business line. This role will support a broad portfolio of high-profile industrial, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, battery, life sciences, logistics, and mission-critical facility projects across North America.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide structural engineering expertise from planning and design through construction and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in structural design for facilities or industrial projects.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software, including STAAD, RAM and Risa, as well as AutoCAD, Revit, and 2D drafting.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards; strong technical writing and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for building cores, shells and foundations including steel, concrete and masonry.
• Prepare structural drawings, specifications and calculations per codes (IBC, ACI, AISC).
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines to integrate structural design into facility plans.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support.
• Perform load calculations, seismic/wind analysis, and evaluate retrofits and expansions.
• Support permitting and regulatory compliance; attend client and design coordination meetings.
