Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Industrial Center of Excellence. You will design and coordinate structural systems for a variety of industrial projects across North America, from planning through commissioning, with BIM integration and client-facing responsibilities.

The role offers flexibility on location (Boise, ID or Madison, WI) and requires collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, sustainable, and technically excellent solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in structural design for facilities or industrial projects.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software, including STAAD, RAM and Risa, as well as AutoCAD, Revit, and 2D drafting.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards; strong technical writing and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for building cores, shells, and foundations, including steel, concrete, and masonry elements.
• Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with applicable codes (IBC, ACI, AISC).
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines to integrate structural design into overall facility plans.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support.
• Perform load calculations, seismic/wind analysis, and evaluate structural integrity for retrofits and expansions.
